MEMBRANES FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY Sample Course Synopsis Lancaster, New York Ion permeable membranes now have an important role in modern electrochemical technology. The Course will cover the fundamental chemistry of these membranes as well as their applications; the objective will be to provide participants with an understanding essential to the successful use of membranes in electrochemical technology. by Professor Derek Pletcher (University of Southampton, England) and Dr.
J. David Genders (Electrosynthesis Company, Inc.) and a number of membrane
manufacturers and suppliers. Participants will be invited to visit the
R & D facility at Electrosynthesis Company to view the diverse range
of membrane applications under investigation. Participants will also be
offered the opportunity to visit a local membrane chlor-alkali plant on
